Back with another Flippa listing - here's hoping this one is legit. 😬  (The seller on Flippa is the owner of the plugin this time.)

BackupGuard is a combination of BackupGuard Cloud Service (SaaS), Backup & Restore, and Security plugins.

I would imagine their largest revenue stream is the Backup WordPress plugin, which also has a free version on WordPress.org with a good 60k active installs and strong position in the search results for related terms:

The biggest issue with this listing is their use of AppSumo to generate large revenue in early 2021. These lifetime license sales will have to be supported by the new owner, and revenue hasn't really grown since then.

If you discount the AppSumo January and February revenue from the equation, in my opinion a realistic valuation would sit at half the asking price, around $120k.

Overall it looks like a solid WordPress product business, in an established and proven segment of the market. If you're interested in this business and want to negotiate, good luck!
